I have a hard time coming up with ideas for Male cards. My family and friends know I am a girly girl, so flowers are my go to kind of card. When I saw the sketch challenge over at TGIF Challenges (#tgif50) I knew I could make a masculine card for it. Check out their weekly challenge here!
Here is their sketch and my card:
Supplies:
Stamps: Words of Truth
Paper: Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point
Ribbon: Pacific Point 3/8” Stitched Satin, Basic Black ¾” Chevron
Measurements:
Whisper White: 8 ½ x 5 ½, 4 x 5 ¼, 4 x 1 ¾
Pacific Point: 4 x 2
Ribbon: 10″ of each color
Directions:
- Fold and crease your Whisper White card stock in to the card base.
- Stamp your sentiment in Pacific Point on the Whisper White 4 x 1 ¾ card stock. Attach to the Pacific Point card stock.
- Cut ribbons in half. Attach the ribbons to the Whisper White 4 x 5 ¼ mat. Attach sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach all to card base.
Denise! you have used my fav colour. I love what you have dine with the ribbons. Masculine cards are difficult because we have to many flowers stamp sets and butterflies.. lol. x hugs from Scotland and thank you for sharing your creativity in the challenge this week!
Thanks Bibi!
What a clever idea to use ribbon as the different layers. Such a great masculine card too Denise, which are always hard to make, but you’ve done a brilliant job! Thanks for playing with us at TGIF xx
