Spotlight on Many Blessings Stamp Set

I love the Many Blessings stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. You can check it out and place an order here!

I used marbles to make the background for the cards shown below. This is a fun technique to create backgrounds for your cards.

Stamps: Many Blessings
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Real Red, Whisper White
Stamp Pad: Memento Black, Mossy Meadow
Stampin’ Ink Refill: Real Red, Old Olive
Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Sea Foam
Misc.: Red 3/8” Cotton Ribbon, Full Wide Stamp cases, Marbles

Thick Whisper White – 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, score and fold at 4-1/4”
Real Red – 4” x 5-1/4”, 3-1/4” x 3-1/4”
Whisper White – 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, 3-1/8” x 3-1/8”

To make the background mat, place 3-4 drops of one ink refill on one side of the stamp case, add three marbles, close and run the marbles through the ink. Open and tack the Whisper White mat to the top of the stamp case. Close the case and flip over to roll the marbles over the mat. Clean the case and repeat with another ink refill color. Do one refill color at a time. If you mix colors, it gets muddy looking.
